The week beginning 8th December was Charity Week at Auchinleck Academy. All s3 P.S.E. classes raised money for their chosen Charity. Mrs Sullivan’s class raised over £200 for the breat cancer charity Breast Foot Forward. The class had a slipper day and a raffle for a facial and a pedicure -Mr MacLean won the facial. Mr Collin’s class had a charity football week and a raffle. The class raised £214 over all,all the money went to Water Aid. There was also a stocking raffle which raised about £80 (well done Mr Aulds class). Mrs Moore’s class did a fun day and raised an amazing £32.41. Pupils enjoyed The Blind Date show in the assembly hall which was organised by Miss Porter’s class - they raised an amount of £196. Eight boys took part, Jordan Cole, Steven Farrell, Ryan Gemmmell, Craig Frame, Ryan McCubbin, Dale Brodie, Ross Reynolds and Willoughby Bertie. The girls that took part are as follows: Jemma Linwood, Sarah Grimason, Taylor Laughlin, Lara Edagar, Chloe Bohan, Brogan McSeveney, Lauren Kirkpatrick and Kayleigh Barrigan. It was great fun!
Mrs Boyle’s class did a sponsored walk and a guess how many sweets are in the jar. They raised around £215.

There was also a guess the teachers baby picture. Miss McGraph’s class was behind it and they raised over a £100. Miss Byrne’s class raised over £230 for Marie Curie Cancer Care by charging pupils and staff for wearing crazy hair and wigs (special mention to Mrs Hammersely who wore a funky blue wig!) and by dressing up and going round the classrooms.
Well done to all the third year PSE classes for organising these events themselves and raising so much money for good causes!
